A Fresh Start
Fifteen years ago, Robin and I lived a block away from a Great Harvest store in the Milwaukee area. Each week, we would walk there, get a slice of warm bread, buy a loaf and bring it home. When we walked in, it was always crowded with people waiting to get fresh bread. Foot-tapping music was always playing. And the room was warm from the ovens with that fresh bread smell permeating the air. I remember the bread would still be warm so it would have to go into a paper bag. Bread warm out of the oven should never go into a plastic bag. | | | At that time, I didn't really understand that the wheat was milled fresh on site. I didn't know that much about the healthy benefits of eating whole grain bread. I just knew it was a fun experience and the bread tasted spectacular. I felt like it would be fun to own our own Great Harvest Bread Co. franchise. After 15 more years in the corporate world, I've decided that time is now. | | Your Springfield Great Harvest looks like no other Great Harvest out there. We operate under a "Freedom Franchise." The "Freedom" part means that we get to run our business in a way that meets the unique needs of our community. The "Franchise" part gives us access to the recipes and processes that Great Harvest has continuously improved for over two decades. The result is breads, sweets, sandwiches and coffee that will knock your socks off! We have now lived in Springfield for several years. Robin grew up here and she still has family in the area. We love it here. We look forward to your visit and getting to know you better. | | | | Our Mission Statement: | | Click Here For An Employment Application
